Immerse yourself in the graffiti art culture, while creating your very own piece with street artist, Eske Touborg. In this fun and hands-on workshop, Eske will guide us through the creative practice that he follows when planning street art as we each learn the process and paint our own graffiti piece from start to finish.
Over the course of this four-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of street art. During the first 1.5 hours, we will learn the ins-and-outs of working with aerosol on wood, tips and tricks on colour choice, visual effects, different lettering and spraying techniques. During the second half of the workshop participants will work on applying their designs onto a large MDF board which will be shared between participants.
After the workshop, you will come away with your very own 1.22x1.22m graffiti art piece to take home and an insider's knowledge about street art.
All the workshop materials and tools are provided, and we’ll take a break during the process to enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and light refreshments. The workshop is suitable for adults and children aged over 14 years. Please note, children aged between 14-16 years will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No prior experience is necessary.

Eske Touborg is a street artist, owner of Aarhus Graffiti - NORTH and author of Graffiti Håndbogen 1 and 2, who is now a full-time Kaospilot student. He has over seven years of experience in practising street art and teaching workshops. Much of Eske’s work is inspired by the sea life that he observes closely while diving in deep seas around the world - chances are you've spotted his large-scale shark paintings across Aarhus!
This workshop is coordinated by AARHUSMAKERS to celebrate the art of making and share our love for all things handmade. We’re excited to give local artists and designers a platform to share their practice and for the community to learn and build their creative skills. We hope our fun and diverse workshop program inspires you to try your hand at something new and to get crafty and make!
