Video Lab — VHS Fabrikken

Travel to END OF THE LINE to experience and co-create analogue visual effects with VHS-fabrikken in an interactive light and sound installation.

For the final night of Mariana Gil’s photography exhibition, 'So near yet so far', VHS-fabrikken will lead an open video lab, using their analog equipment to produce live visuals and special effects. You can assist them as a rookie AV worker, or just relax, look into the flickering screens and enjoy a cosy evening at END OF THE LINE.

During the video lab, VHS-fabrikken will explore both analog and digital imagery, where they will re-adapt and transform digital recordings filmed in Brazil into analog recordings creating a bridge between analog and digital technologies — what is near and far.

VHS-fabrikken is a video art collective specialized in obsolete video technologies run between photographer and artist Mariana Gil and artist Don Kasperaliteten. They have worked with musicians to produce music videos and live visuals at concerts (FEUM Techno, Off-site Festival, Vekselstrøm Festival) in close creative dialogue with the performers as they expand the sonic universe with optical depth and textures using their analog video equipment. Their work also includes installations at festivals (MADE, Music for the Meltdowns), open workshops (End of the Line, A:M:O:K), video art and videographics. Visit
