Research gate is a platform build for Scientists by Scientists, think about this platform as a place where you can ask questions to PhD researchers about any topic, search for specific keywords and follow people working in research projects. Here is what they say about themselves:
Statista has become the go to place when it comes to finding meaningful data, an intelligent business model build upon Open Data sources, Statista creates comprehensive data material such us infographics and reports. Some of its content is delivered as Creative Commons although a large proportion of its content is premium, nevertheless Statista seems to be available in many educational institutions.
World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. I have been following them for over 6 months and the amount of quality articles published is, to say the least, exceptional. They are extremely active in Social Media as well, you just need to check their Facebook stream to get a sense. The articles would also provide you with links to other sources that will become relevant in the future.
Founded by two former Facebook employees Quora is a Social Network where you can ask any question, search for answers, follow interesting people that are actively sharing their wisdom.
