This is the 1st question that your company needs to answer

In a recent lecture at BAAA we were introduced to a TED talk by Simon Sinek "How Great Leaders Inspire Action" you can see the video at the end of this post. It's worth every minute. 

Inspired by Simon we decided that we should explain the "Why", "How" and "What" of Crewators. So here we are, in our attempt to reveal our inspiration and the core of what we do. Today we will answer the "Why".

Why

We believe in the power of positive connections between people with diverse backgrounds.

 

Crewators started as a Bachelor project as part of our studies at Business Academy Aarhus. At the beginning we didn't know what we wanted to do, the only thing we were clear about was the name "Crewators" and a common passion to work with people on a regular basis. 

 

We have started to see patterns by looking at trends. One that caught our attention was a trend focused on continuous life learning. To add to that,  we saw reports that indicate there will be 262 million students in higher education globally by 2025. That is a big number.

 

That means we have a potential of 262 million opportunities to try a new idea or to improve upon an existing one. 262 million opportunities to change what doesn't work. Consider this, there will be 262 million people that may want to have an opportunity to shine and do things differently.

In addition, there are all sorts of indicators around the next industrial revolution driven by technology, based on AI, Machine Learning and automation of tasks.

While we believe technology can be beneficial, the side effects of those disruptive technologies are yet to be discovered. That was one of the take aways from a conference we attended with Innolab, they simplify what the job market will face in one sentence: "any job that can be replaced by an algorithm, will be replaced by machines".  

 

Everything points out to a large proportion of jobs disappearing overnight. It is a reality that can and will be solved by fostering collaboration, education, innovation and critical thinking, a new generation of entrepreneurs, companies and businesses models will be nominated as the agents of change. 

 

That's why Crewators is being build, that's why we want to empower students to challenge the current status quo. 

 

We believe that everybody has a different kind of happiness, everybody perceies their level of happiness based on a number of factors that are unique to each individual and that, in itself, is worth exploring.

 

We want to connect people and ideas organically, in order to generate equality, sustainability and innovation. We will work hard to make this happen in 2017.
